Recognizing once again that solving the various issues facing modern society is an important and urgent task, individuals and companies around the world are pursuing activities aimed at achieving a sustainable society.

As indicated in our corporate philosophy, the real estate handled by Mizuho Realty One, Mizuho Real Estate Management, and Mizuho REIT Management in our business is social infrastructure for people to live and engage in business. We understand that real estate is closely related not only to its owners but also to its users, surrounding residents, and other people involved with it, as well as the global environment, and that it has a significant impact over the long term. We therefore aim to be a company that helps to resolve social issues through our business activities and to increase corporate value by providing social and environmental value, as a result of which we contribute to making society as a whole sustainable.

In addition to complying with various sustainability-related policies as part of Mizuho, we have identified materiality issues in response to the needs of society, based on our business characteristics and business models. We determined specific activities and targets aimed at addressing each materiality issue and established a promotion system to respond to the needs of society in spring 2022, and stepped forward.

Going forward, we will pursue our corporate activities based on these materiality issues, and through Mizuho Realty One, Mizuho Real Estate Management, and Mizuho REIT Management “contributing to the creation of a fruitful society through real estate” as “your best partner in real estate,” we will play an active role in achieving SDGs and forge ahead with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.
